The Mallock Club

Why all Athur's racing cars were U2

In the late 1950's and early 1960's a bodybuilder called Charles Atlas advertised his chest expanding device with the phrase

'U2 (You too), can have a body like mine!'

This appealed to Arthur Mallock's sense of humour and prompted him to place this advertisement in the '750 Bulletin', the magazine of the 750 Motor Club.

Later in 1959, Arthur got bolder with his advertising and let his customers into 'the secrets of race winning'.

Note the (lbs.) pounds for (£) pounds pun........ and did you notice the ad. for Plastiguage underneath?  Arthur endorsed the product in some of their advertising so is '...our Arthur' Arthur Mallock?
